A sprinkler system is an asset in keeping your lawn healthy during seasons when there is little to no rain. A water supply line coming from your house feeds the sprinkler system. A stop valve turns the water off to the sprinkler system. Another variation of the stop valve, a stop and waste valve, allows you to turn the water off to your sprinkler system and allow water to drain from the irrigation system. When working with PVC pipe, using a stop valve made of PVC is important, as this will provide a proper PVC connection.
